As noted by the post here, we will be doing some renovations to the Rune community in effort to please everyone in the community and restart community activity.

As may of you already know we hate having to limit anything to a post count as its easily abused and discouraging, however, if things do not start rolling again this community may indeed mothball.

I'm asking for a Community Effort here. I will be leaving this topic available for member suggestions and ideas as to how we can reshape the community.

Also, in light of the new sections that will be added, I plan to jump start this process by loading some of the more RARE files including Source files for some of the very very hard to find programs.

I will also be adding several of my custom works as the community progresses.

I'm asking the community to also help by contributing what they can, files and posts, topics and support for others.

This said the doors open...
Suggestions? Comments? Requests?

As you all have probably noticed...nothing has happened with RUNE recently. Exclusives are still down...and they likely will be forever.

The RUNE staff wishes to start a new project, but we'll be keeping it under wraps due to the nature of such a project. RUNE itself will remain, but will be downsized greatly and become more of a file sharing and support site, rather than a community. Free files will remain, and users will be able to share what they want. The rules will become more relaxed, and the staff will not be as active. We will still sweep out obvious stolen files.

In other words...if you are an artist who wants their exclusive files removed and are unable to do so yourself, feel free to let us know. We will delete them. Or rather, if you want them just moved to free files because you don't care anymore, feel free to let us know about that too xD Your files will not be available unless you want them to, but also keep in mind that means they will never be available.

We are sorry...but the upkeep on this site has become so intense.

RUNE will remain as is, for now. However once the new project gets rolling RUNE will go through major changes, hopefully for the final time. I'd hate to call it a "Trash heap", as the work really is not trash..but think of it as a place that files can be dumped and others have access to them. The support will be community driven rather than provided by the staff. RUNE will now be kept alive by the users. Int he future, it may not even be running on IPB...but rather a file sharing script + a free forum. Gallery will likely be removed, as will blogs (sorry, I know we just put this stuff up). We may need to use these licenses for the new project until we can get something more suitable.

The new project is a private and closed one. Some members will be invited, but most will not be. But it will be quite a while until the project is rolling.


In the future, if we need to do the change off of IPB, there will be some down time...quite a bit because we'll have many files to move over.

Sooo yeah we finally got blogs reinstalled to the old version (yay!). We deleted a lot of blogs that were not being used/didn't really have anything on them, but some old ones are still up and can still be used by those members.

Please let us know if there are any issues. I know I need to fix the navigation bar on the blogs but that's not a big deal for now, except for the people on lower resolutions XD UPDATE YOUR MONITORS! RAWR!

Anyway just though I should let you all know.

On a side note, please do not make a blog unless you actually intend to use it. It keeps our database cleaner <3 Before there were like 30 blogs that had no posts in them >.<


Also for those that already have blogs, you can create a linked blog instead of hosting it here, which means it will just link to your blog elsewhere :) GO FOR IT!
